IRS Makes HIRE Act Forms Available
The Federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has made available the forms needed for employers to use the payroll tax exemption and tax credit provided by the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) act, passed by Congress and signed into law earlier this year. The HIRE Act provides significant tax benefits to employers, and are even available to seasonal employers, like farm employers (see "HIRE Act Provides Important Tax Benefits to Agricultural Employers", provided courtesy of the National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE).
IRS has made available the forms required for employers to use these tax breaks. First, when hiring an employer must ensure the employer completes an IRS Form W-11. This form is an attestation by the employee you seek to hire that they meet the qualifications and requirements of the HIRE Act.
IRS has also recently made available a new version of IRS Form 941, the Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return, recently modified by IRS to reflect the requirements of the HIRE Act. |
