FELS Webinar: COVID-19 Workers Comp Rebuttable Presumption

California Farm Bureau and Farm Employes Labor Service presented a webinar featuring Taylor Arnold and  Ruben Pineda of Hanna Brophy, California's premier workers' compensation employer defense firm.  The webinar touched on a wide range issues related to Governor Newsom's May 6 Executive Order imposing a rebuttable presumption that employees contracting COVID-19 may be eligible for workers' compensation benefits.  The implementaton of the Executive Order poses numerous questions about rebuttability of claims, claims management and other problems that may arise from the Governor's action.
