Farm Bureau Sponsors Spanish-language COVID-19 Ads, PSAs

FELS’ parent organization, California Farm Bureau Federation, has initiated a flight of paid Spanish-language radio ads, additional placements as public service announcements (PSAs) and a Facebook advertising campaign aimed to educating Spanish-language radio listeners about the importance of protecting themselves and their loved ones against COVID-19 infections doing many of the same things when not working that agricultural employers are implementing in the workplace: wearing masks, social distancing, frequent hand-washing, disinfection of regularly-touched surfaces and refraining from work if they are ill.  These themes were featured in a flight of similar radio ads and a Facebook campaign undertaken by Farm Bureau in April, aimed at helping listeners better understand COVID-19 workplace precautions.

The new campaign also urges listeners to avoid social situations like parties and other gatherings where social distancing may not be maintained as a means of protecting themselves and their families.
