2/1 Deadlines for OSHA 300A Log Posting, CA “Right to Know” Notice
OSHA 300A Posting: Employers of 11 or more employees are required to post the Form 300A Annual Summary each year. Summaries should be posted by February 1 and remain posted until April 30, in a location where workplace postings are normally made. Employers should post only the Form 300A Annual Summary, not the entire OSHA 300 Illness and Injury Log to avoid disclosing confidential information found on that form.
Posting is required on an establishment-by-establishment basis, meaning the 300A Summary must be posted at each physical location where employees work, and and the 300A Summary must be made available to employees who do not regularly report to a fixed workplace.
The Summary must be certified by an authorized management representative, such as an owner, officer, or the highest-ranking company official at the establishment. Even if no injuries were recorded in the prior calendar year, the Summary must be posted with zeroes in the totals lines.
Workplace “Know Your Rights” Notice: California employers are required to provide a stand-alone written notice of worker rights to each new employee when hired, and annually to all current employees. This notice must be distributed to all current employees by February 1, 2026, to new employees upon hire, and annually to all employees. It can be delivered electronically or in person.
