The Center for Land-Based Learning is progressing with the expansion of AgHiRE, a training program designed around regional employer needs to prepare Spanish-speaking supervisors for greater roles and responsibilities in agricultural operations, into Yuba-Sutter-Colusa counties. As part of this, the organization is hosting an AgHiRE Lunch and Learn at Granzella’s Restaurant in Williams, CA, on March 19, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, seeking input from agricultural employers in the region to shape program adaptations. The event will include a brief overview of AgHiRE followed by an open discussion with local growers, focusing on workforce needs, skill gaps, and training priorities. Interested parties can RSVP at bit.ly/aghire26 or contact nancy@landbasedlearning.org for questions.
