Excited for the Road Ahead: A Message from FELS New General Manager, Anna Genasci

Anna Gensaci, General Manager, Farm Employers Labor Service

Hello FELS & Farm Bureau Members; I am excited to introduce myself as the new General Manager of Farm Employers Labor Service (FELS).

For those I haven’t had the opportunity to meet yet, my name is Anna Genasci, and I have spent my entire career working in and alongside California agriculture. From production agriculture and regulatory compliance to education, communications, and workforce development, I have always been passionate about helping agricultural employers navigate challenges and find practical solutions. Now, I am honored to bring that experience to FELS and the members we serve.

I grew up with a deep appreciation for agriculture and the people who make it possible. Over the years, that appreciation has only grown. My career has taken me through several roles within the industry, including working as a Field Supervisor with Foster Farms, an Agricultural Inspector with the Stanislaus County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office, and later as Assistant Director of Education at AgSafe. Most recently, I served as Director of Education and Communication for the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau, where I worked closely with growers, agricultural employers, regulators, educators, and industry partners throughout California.

Throughout those experiences, one thing has remained constant: agriculture is strongest when we work together. Whether helping employers understand new regulations, developing training programs, communicating important industry updates, or building partnerships, I have always enjoyed finding ways to support the people who keep California agriculture moving forward.

Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to spend considerable time learning about FELS, its history, and most importantly, its members. What became clear very quickly is that FELS has earned a reputation as a trusted resource because of the quality of its people and the relationships they have built over decades of service. That legacy is something I deeply respect and intend to build upon.

As I step into this role, I want members to know that the core mission of FELS remains unchanged. We are here to help agricultural employers navigate an increasingly complex environment. Whether it’s labor law compliance, workplace safety, employee relations, training, handbooks, labor posters, or the countless questions that arise throughout the year, our focus remains on providing practical, reliable support that helps agricultural businesses succeed.

I am also pleased to share that Bryan Little, former COO of FELS, will continue to be involved as a valuable content expert and resource. Brian’s knowledge, experience, and long-standing relationships within the agricultural community have been instrumental to FELS’ success, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside him as we move into this next chapter.

One of the things that attracted me to FELS is the incredible team already in place. I can confidently say that they are among the most qualified and passionate professionals in the industry. Their commitment to serving members is evident every day, and I am excited to work alongside them as we continue to strengthen and expand the services FELS provides.

Looking ahead, I see tremendous opportunity for growth. California agriculture continues to face evolving challenges, from labor and employment regulations to workforce development and compliance requirements. FELS is uniquely positioned to help employers navigate those changes. As we move forward, we will be exploring new ways to deliver resources, training, communication, and support that meet the changing needs of our members while remaining grounded in the practical, personalized service that has always defined FELS.

I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead. My goal is simple: to help FELS continue to be a resource for agricultural employers while strengthening our connection to Farm Bureau members throughout the state. Together, we will continue building on the strong foundation that has made FELS successful and ensure that it remains a trusted partner for California agriculture for years to come.

Thank you for the warm welcome many of you have already extended. I look forward to meeting more of you in the months ahead, learning about your operations, hearing your concerns, and finding ways we can better serve you.

The future of California agriculture depends on strong partnerships, practical solutions, and people who care deeply about this industry. I am honored to be part of that work and excited to begin this journey with you.
