Fresno County Farm Bureau/FELS Offering Sexual Harassment Training

Bryan Little, Farm Employers Labor Service

Fresno County Farm Bureau and FELS are teaming up to offer California-mandated Sexual Harassment Training at Fresno County Farm Bureau (1274 W. Hedges Ave). One-hour employee training will be held at 9:30 AM on December 3; the two-hour supervisor training will be held at 10:30 AM on December 4.

Training will feature the newest member of FELS’ team, Gilbert Altamirano. California harassment prevention training requirements apply to all employers with at least five employees. Supervisors and nonsupervisory employees must both undergo harassment prevention training — supervisors must complete two hours of training and nonsupervisory employees must complete one hour.

Training must occur within six months of hire or promotion, and all employees must be retrained every two years after that. Seasonal and temporary employees or employees hired to work less than six months, must be trained within 30 calendar days after hire or within 100 hours worked, whichever is earlier.

You can register employees for the one-hour training here; you can register supervisors for the two-hour training here.
