Partnership Offering Produce Safety Training in Imperial, Durham, and Selma

Farm Employers Labor Service is partner with California Farm Bureau and the Safe Food Alliance to offer producer food safety training mandated by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) through the Food Safety Training Partnership.

Training will be offered at these locations:

  • June 15, 2017; Farm Credit Center, Imperial, CA  Register Here
  • June 20, 2017; Durham Memorial Hall, Durham, CA  Register Here
  • June 21, 2017; Spike N Rail, Selma, CA  Register Here
  • More dates and locations to be added later!

FSMA requires all food producers to meet new standards for food safety.  This includes new requirements for on-farm operations.  At least one responsible party at each covered farm is required to receive produce safety training meeting the minimum FDA standard.

The Partnership's training will allow participants to receive a one-day, eight-module produce safety training course, which has been approved by the FDA as the standardized curriculum according to the new rule.  The rule is final now and producers will be required to comply in early 2018.  This producer food safety training will help you understand the basic requirements of the Produce Safety Rule as well as meet the mandatory training requirements.
