EPA WPA Pesticide Revisions

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is updating its Worker Protection Standard after more than 20 years.

California has the most robust comprehensive pesticide regulatory system in the country and affords more protection to farmworkers than most other states. 

The proposal  includes several things that California has already implemented and the California Department of Pesticiide Regulations (DPR) is meeting with stakeholders to address the rest.  The 90-day comment period ends June 17, 2014.  You can comment onthe proposal here.
